What do we do?

Each client has individual needs, however some of the tasks we have completed include:

  • Made arrangements for the moving of pets

  • Sourced curtain makers for the new home

  • Assisted in sale or disposal of redundant furniture and other goods

  • Plotted the new home’s floor plan to ensure that furniture will fit and should be moved.

  • Arranged for the packers and movers to quote and fulfil the relocation.

Consultation

We meet with our new client to discuss your needs, and what type of home you are looking for.

Then, we will make appointments for you to personally view different types of locations that meet your requirements. You will inspect the options, touring the facilities and benefits of each location. When you decide which is the best choice, we ensure the dwelling is reserved by indicating expression of interest or hold and providing the necessary documentation.

Home Sale

Next, we help your prepare your home for sale.

We access trusted tradespeople to complete any necessary repairs, and introduce our trusted Real Estate Agents to undertake valuation and assessment. All suppliers in our network are accustomed to dealing sensitively with seniors.

Our consultants understand that this can be a challenging time, and will sit with our clients and walk them through this process. Essentially, acting as “buffer” between yourself and your Real Estate Agency.

Prepare & Downsize

Every care is taken to ensure our clients feel “at home” in their new home. Our consultants will photograph and document your current home, ensuring that photographs, beloved keepsakes, treasured posessions are placed with care and in their proper places. This includes photos of inside your cupboards, so that unpackers will be able to place crockery and kitchenware in relatively appropriate positions.

Next we discuss which items of furniture you wish to take to your new home. We take measurements to map out a floorplan, ensuring everything fits and is placed appropriately, and the new residence remains as homely as possible. 


Welcome home

When you enter your new home everything is in place, as much as possible according to plan – fridges and freezers switched on, washing machines placed, crockery and saucepans in cupboards, medication in a familiar place, your favourite mug, coffee and sugar at hand.

Packing boxes will be removed as we leave, and even beds will be made up for you before our team departs.


De-cluttering

We can even assist with “de-cluttering” when needed. Once you decide which items will go with you to your new home and which will be given to relatives or friends, we can help you sell the remainder online, or through our network of buyers. We treat all items and decisions with sensitivity and attention to detail during this challenging process.

Our team can arrange for treasured items to be packed and sent safely to relatives, and have even been known to spend hours helping a client to clean her silver service to obtain a much better price – sufficient to pay for the curtains and blinds in her new home!

We can even arrange for Contents Insurance at your new home, and can assist with vehicle sales if needed.

Referrals

On request, we can provide referrals to a range of other reputable professionals such as Solicitors, Accountants or Financial Advisors.

Removal

Four weeks before your move, we will arrange for your electricity, gas, phone, internet or Foxtel to be disconnected at the appropriate time, and reconnected at your new home.

We then arrange packers and movers in the lead up to moving day, as well as cleaners for after, to ensure a spotless home for incoming family or buyers.

On removal day, clients are free to leave the premises if they wish, leaving our team in charge. We have found this minimises distress during the chaotic time, allowing you to focus on your new home taking shape.
